History Of Sinang Coffee
Lembah Butuh is a highland area in Magelang district known for its dense forest that has been recognized by the Forestry Service. This forest is a very productive land area for coffee plantations. Therefore, the coffee grown in this region has high quality and authentic taste. Most farmers started cultivating coffee, especially the Robusta type, since around 1965.
Our flagship product from Lembah Butuh is called Kopi Sinang. The name “Sinang” is taken from the story of a farmer who found a painting of a “Sinang” character on a rock in the coffee plantation area. The painting is believed to be a relic of the village’s ancestors. Sinang itself symbolizes the nature of humans. Based on this philosophy, the community believes that “Sinang” brings luck and goodness to those who work hard.
